Mojácar Council recently organized a trip to the Spa in Murcia, the Balneario de Archena, so that their residents could take the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing, healthy day.
Over 40 Spanish and British people, accompanied by Sports Councillor Ana Garcia, spent a day in the circuits and thermal pools at the complex which extends to 200,000 m2. The waters there are highly appreciated for their medicinal properties and, the Spa is probably one of the oldest and most historic in our peninsula.
Mojácar is signed up to an agreement between Almería’s Provincial Council and the Balneario de Archena that involves being included in the Promotion of Spa Thermal Circuits programme, allowing residents to benefit from reduced admission and lunch prices. Mojácar Council, on their part, provided free transport to and from the Spa.
It is not the first time that the Sports Department has offered a healthy day out, as for the last three years, Ana García has organized the trip so that all Mojácar’s residents can enjoy the well-being effects of thermal waters and a day of relaxation with friends and neighbours.
Previous years have been spent at the Roman baths at Zújar, but whatever the destination, it is an initiative that is always looked forward to and always attracts many participants of all ages and nationalities living in the town.
