Rayito Salinero Beach Handball Club enjoyed an intense and successful weekend at the prestigious Arena 1000 tournament in Vilanova i la Geltrú, one of the top events in Spain’s national beach handball circuit. The club from Torrevieja fielded teams across six categories: senior men and women, youth boys and girls, and cadet girls.
It was the senior women’s team that stole the spotlight, storming their way to the final and finishing as runners-up after an outstanding campaign. Along the way, they knocked out strong opponents such as Gandía in the quarter-finals, Parla in the semi-finals, and Getasur during the group stage. Their final showdown against Ciudad de Málaga was broadcast live on national sports channel Teledeporte, highlighting the growing stature of women’s beach handball.
The club’s youth girls’ team also impressed, putting in a consistent performance throughout the tournament and deservedly taking home the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, the cadet girls and senior men’s sides both reached the round of 16, while the youth boys progressed as far as the quarter-finals.
The club praised the overall performance of its teams, underlining the players’ commitment, progress, and competitive spirit in one of the most demanding tournaments on the calendar.
Rayito Salinero continues to cement its reputation as a powerhouse in Spanish beach handball, proudly flying the flag for Torrevieja on the national stage.
