Murcia, April 16, 2025 – The Civil Guard in the Region of Murcia has arrested three experienced criminals in connection with four violent muggings in Beniel, thanks in part to citizen cooperation.
The investigation began in March, following reports of street robberies targeting pedestrians—some elderly—during afternoon hours. The attackers surprised their victims, snatching gold chains and necklaces directly from their necks, often causing injuries in the process.
Using security camera footage and public tips, investigators identified the suspects as young, slim individuals with similar physical profiles. These clues led to the eventual identification and arrest of three individuals, all of whom have criminal records for similar offenses.
So far, four robberies have been officially linked to the group. However, the investigation is ongoing, and authorities do not rule out their involvement in other similar crimes in the area.
