The Local Police of La Unión have reported a dangerous incident involving three 10-year-old boys who were caught placing stones on the train tracks of the Feve railway as it passed through the area. The children’s parents have been informed of the seriousness of their actions.
Alerted by local residents who noticed the minors near the tracks by the municipal cemetery, officers quickly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they discovered the children arranging stones in a row on the tracks. When confronted, the boys initially denied responsibility, claiming it wasn’t their doing.
In the official communication sent to the parents, the police emphasised the severe risks associated with the prank. They explained that placing obstacles on train tracks is an extremely “dangerous action that could cause the trains to derail.” The letter also highlighted that the children themselves were at a “high risk of being run over” while engaging in such reckless behaviour.
Authorities have urged parents to educate their children on the potential consequences of such actions to prevent future incidents.
