The Councillor for Social Welfare, Agustina Rodríguez, has announced the call for grants to senior citizens’ associations, corresponding to the 2024 annual period. The call is already published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), so the application submission period begins 20 calendar days from the publication.

This is municipal aid intended for associations or entities of social interest and non-profit for older people, based in the municipality of Orihuela, which carry out activities that promote the implementation of associationism in the sector through actions focused on training, rehabilitation or healthy leisure for older people and other related activities.

The Orihuela councillor has said that the maximum total amount of these subsidies amounts to 35,000 euros, while she has also stressed that the purpose of bringing forward these subsidies is “to support the groups in their daily social work and promote activities that encourage active and healthy ageing of our elderly”.
