The Guardia Civil has arrested a 42-year-old man in Rojales as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of serious injury and another of serious threats after cutting half the nose of a 20-year-old with a chainsaw. The victim has suffered a loss of nasal substance and has required 15 stitches.
The detainee also threatened to kill another man with a simulated weapon who was next to the wounded man inside a vehicle. Apparently, the man had been the victim of robberies in his business on several occasions, he suspected the car in which the victims were driving and decided to “act on his behalf.”
Two men were inside their vehicle driving through an industrial estate in the municipality of San Isidro and saw how another car was chasing them and then crossed paths in the middle of the road.
The alleged perpetrator abandoned his vehicle and threatened to kill them both with a pistol, took an electric chainsaw out of the trunk, which he introduced inside through the passenger window and caused various material damages with the tool. In the struggle with the two occupants of the vehicle, the detainee allegedly partially cut the nose of one of them.
The Guardia Civil of Dolores were aware of the aggression since, while the service patrol was carrying out its surveillance functions, they observed how a group of people was at the door of a business in the industrial zone of San Isidro.
The victim, who was present, informed the agents of the attack, who confirmed that he had received medical assistance and informed him that he could file a complaint about what had happened.
According to the investigations, the alleged aggressor, who had been the victim of robberies in his business on several occasions, seeing the vehicle in which the victims were “loitering” in the area of his establishment, suspected them and “He acted on his own.”
After making efforts to locate him, the agents were able to locate the accused in the home of a friend in Rojales. The man confessed the facts to the agents and collaborated at all times to locate the weapons used in the attack, a simulated weapon and a chainsaw, which were seized. The arrested man has been brought to justice before the Investigating Court 2 of Orihuela, which has decreed his release with charges.
