Despite a warm atmosphere and clear skies, a strong blustery wind made life difficult for the eight competitors in El Plantio 2’s end of month medal competition. Overcoming the conditions was the least experienced member of the society, Maggie Edwards. Indeed the Edwards family nearly had a clean sweep with husband Brian claiming both nearest the pin prizes.
Nearest the pins: Hole 4 and Hole 6, Brian Edwards.
Second place – Handicap 7.2, Alistair Douglas – 58.8 shots.
First place – Handicap 19.6 – Maggie Edwards – 57.4 shots.
If anyone would like to join our Society, we play at El Plantio Golf Club every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. We use both courses – the Par 3 nine hole course and the main 18 hole course, so we cater for all abilities.
