Torrevieja’s Councillors for Education and International Residents, Ricardo Recuero and Gitte Lund, have announced details of Spanish courses for foreigners designed to improve language skills both oral and written. These courses will begin in January and are aimed at international residents registered in the city.

There will be six groups of approximately 15 students each. Four groups will focus on the beginner level and two on the intermediate level. Each group will have 32 hours of training spread over eight weeks, with two-hour sessions per class. Class times are available from 9:00 to 11:00, from 12:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00.

In order to enrol, students must be an international resident of Torrevieja. Initially, the programme will start with 90 students, ensuring a personalised and effective educational experience.

Enrolment will be open from Monday 16th December until 30th December. Those interested can register in person through the PROP or online through the electronic headquarters.

The main objective of these courses is to provide participants with the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, both in everyday and professional situations. The courses will cover beginner and intermediate levels, providing a solid linguistic foundation.

The service will be offered at the facilities of the Be Magic academy, which has been awarded the contract for three years (two plus one year’s extension), at a cost of 60,000 euros (20,000 euros per year).

Students should be aware that these courses will not be officially certified, their purpose being to provide language skills for the thousands of international residents who live in the city.
