Last Friday, the swearing-in ceremony for 20 new Local Police officers was held in the plenary hall of the Torrevieja Town Hall. The event was attended by the mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón; the Councilor for Police, Security and Emergencies, Federico Alarcón; and the Personnel Councilor, María José Ruiz.
During the same ceremony, an industrial engineer employed through a Temporary Employment Program, a labourer assigned to the Youth Department, and another labourer—whose appointment had been pending—designated for the Parks and Gardens Department, also officially took office.
Mayor Eduardo Dolón praised the increase in Local Police personnel, noting that the City Council is making significant efforts to meet the city’s growing public safety needs. Torrevieja now has over 106,000 registered residents.
After the ceremony, the mayor welcomed the new staff members and encouraged them to work with dedication to continue enhancing the image of the city of Torrevieja.
