A 31-year-old pub manager in Torrevieja was arrested last week for drug trafficking after being found with 15 doses of cocaine hidden in her underwear.
The Civil Guard also seized more than €500 in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug sales. The operation was part of the Civil Guard’s ongoing strategy to combat drug trafficking and consumption in leisure areas, particularly nightlife spots.
The intervention targeted three nightlife establishments in Torrevieja’s urban centre, with agents conducting surprise inspections simultaneously. At one pub, a packet of cocaine was discovered on a customer sitting on the terrace. When searching the pub manager, officers uncovered the 15 doses of cocaine, and the €549.56, which the manager allegedly earned from selling narcotics. The manager, who has a criminal history, now faces charges of drug trafficking and a public health crime.
The operation also uncovered several violations at two other venues, where customers were found in possession of cocaine, hashish, and marijuana. Additionally, four individuals were identified with weapons or items that could be used as weapons. The agents reported the administrative violations to the Government Sub delegation in Alicante.
Following the arrest, the pub manager was placed under the jurisdiction of the Torrevieja Court on Duty, where she was later released on bail.
The Civil Guard commended the role of citizens in supporting the operation and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining safety in nightlife areas. The operation highlights their ongoing efforts to combat the distribution of narcotics and ensure the safety of residents and visitors in Torrevieja.
