The Councillor for International Residents in Torrevieja, Gitte Lund Thomsen, has presented the programme of activities for the last quarter of 2024, as well as a new information brochure for foreign residents, published in Spanish and English, on how to register in Torrevieja, the digital signature, the SIP card, residency in Spain, as well as how citizens of the European Union can participate in municipal elections and in the European Parliament.
PROGRAMMED ACTIVITIES
The councillor has indicated that the intention of her department is to publicise the facilities and services offered by the municipality of Torrevieja so that citizens can enjoy the wide and varied sporting, cultural, festive and tourist offer that we have.
At the scheduled events there will be staff who speak English, French, German and Scandinavian and, in case information is needed in other languages, there will be people who can help with translation. For participants who do not speak Spanish, it is also an opportunity to learn Spanish phrases that help them manage their daily life in Torrevieja. It is also an opportunity to meet more people of various nationalities and nationals as well, which can be of great help in teaching foreigners about customs in Spain.
Activities in the process of being specified include: Visit to Alicante city, visit to Torrevieja and La Mata Natural Park, visit to the AGAMED wastewater treatment plant and visits to museums and cultural facilities.
