The president of the PP in San Fulgencio, María Concepción García Baeza, has relinquished her office and her membership of the party on Monday accusing the group of a lack of transparency and support.
She had been leading the Partido Popular in the municipality for four years, although only officially for ten months.
In her resignation letter she said “One of the primary functions associated with my role as local and election chairperson has not been fulfilled, nor have I been allowed to have a say in the decision-making, both in relation to the campaign, and deciding the electoral the list. As of Monday, I am still unaware of the composition of the document, although I am aware that it has been presented to the electoral board”.
She further stated that she has not received the necessary information to be able to carry out her role effectively, neither has she felt the support and gratitude that she expected.
García Baeza had previously been included on the electoral list at number three but, for reasons of which she says she is not aware, she has now been removed.
