Children between 5 and 12 years of age, who are still to receive the first or second dose of the covid-19 vaccine, will be called to attend vaccination points or health centres to receive their jabs.
The Ministry of Health has reported that, once the paediatric vaccination phase in schools is over, contact will be made with parents or guardians of the remaining children by SMS or by phone to advise of an appointment.
The department of health also points out that families can request an appointment at primary care centres to vaccinate their children who are not yet immunised.
In the case of minors who have been infected, a period of eight weeks must elapse to receive the pending dose, the same sources have indicated.
