The Valencia Ministry of Health has purchased an emergency machine for magnetic imaging diagnostic tests (CT) for Torrevieja hospital for 398,800 euro so as not to be left without the service following the termination of the management contract previously held by Ribera Salud.
At the end of the concession, Ribera Salud informed the Ministry of its intention to transfer this equipment to be used in other facilities, but offered them the possibility of contracting its services in the interim.
However, the Ministry of Health has chosen to buy a new CT machine from another company for 398,000 euro without prior competition.
