What a magnificent spectacle Remembrance Day turned out to be across the Southern Costa Blanca as over a thousand veterans and supporters turned out on Saturday and Sunday at the area’s two premier commemorations, in La Siesta, Torrevieja and Mil Palmeras, where the Orihuela Costa Branch held their Sunday service.
Two wonderful days, bright blue skies, just a few tears as wreaths and poppy crosses were laid. I’m sure that if those who went before are looking down on the local branches of The Royal British Legion they will be saying “You did us proud”!
