Winter beach activities for the whole family are now underway on the Orihuela Costa. The programme was introduced on La Caleta (Cabo Roig) beach on Sunday starting with sports events from 11 to 12 noon, running alongside activities and events for the children until 1pm
Luisa Boné, councillor of the beaches, and Juan Carlos Redondo, manager of the company in charge of the children’s workshops, held a press conference to publicise the activities where they announced the start of a full programme of activities and children’s workshops, “The Winter Beach”.
Boné, stressed that “workshops and games will be adapted to respect the environment. We want the child to be aware of their natural environment, as well as develop respect, and have more knowledge of conservation and protection of the environment while they also have fun. ”
Juan Carlos, said “that the activities are focused on children from 4 to 10 years old and include storytelling, games, gimkanas and many more activities to enjoy.”
Boné, confirmed that all the activities are shown on the Facebook page of the Department of Beaches and the Orihuela council website although they didnt appear until Saturday afternoon over the Easter weekend.
