La Herradura Restaurant (the “horseshoe”) is a beautiful, Spanish restaurant set in an old traditional farmhouse located in unique surroundings.

The historic Old Farmhouse was first built in 1888 and has an interesting history. In 1920, for example, when the new train line connecting the Vega Baja was built, politicians from Alicante and all over the country converged on the area for the inauguration of the new line. Unfortunately, the train was derailed leaving the politicians stranded for two days. The took refuge in La Herradura and later the farmhouse was converted to an inn.

The restaurant’s wine cellar dating back to the 19th century is just one of the many features of the restaurant.

There is ample parking at the restaurant with a car park that can accomodate more than 250 cars.

The Restaurante La Herradura is located in the beautiful Spanish village of Los Montesinos on the main street, Avenida del Mar. You will find the restaurant located just next door to the Repsol petrol station.
