In Spain, there have now been 36,588 deaths from the coronavirus. The Ministry of Health , however, still does not reflect the full scope of the pandemic, registering only 26,070 this Thursday, 213 more in the last 24 hours.
The Government still doesn’t include all of the deaths reported by the Community of Madrid and Catalonia. The latest numbers of infected persons, 754 in 24 hours, has increased slightly but it is still well below the figures that were were seeing a few days ago. The total number of cases is now 221,447.

He also announced that the number of medical personnel infected by the coronavirus is already 45,924, due to the fact that many more tests are being carried out.

In the community Healthcare has confirmed 247 new positives: 55 by PCR and 192 with rapid tests
The Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, has confirmed that the Valencian Community has registered 247 new coronavirus positives and 13 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 55 have been confirmed by PCR and 192 by rapid tests. With these figures, the total number of cases amounts to 13,311 (0.592 with PCR and 2719 with rapid tests) as well as 1,315 deaths since the pandemic broke out in the Region.
Regarding the new cases, Valencia has registered 94 positives (31 with PCR and 63 with rapid tests); Alicante has registered 100 infections (14 with PCR and 86 with rapid tests); Regarding Castellón, it has registered 47 new cases (5 with PCR and 42 with rapid tests). The other six correspond to displaced persons.
Likewise, the minister said that the downward trend in the number of hospital admissions continues. There are 558 people admitted right now, 14 less than yesterday. Of these, 98 are in the ICU. By provinces, Valencia has 353 infected patients admitted, 44 of them in ICU; in the province of Alicante there are 152 people admitted, of which 43 are in the ICU; Castellón, there are 53 people admitted, 11 in ICU.
In the last 24 hours, 13 people have died, three of them in residences, so the total number of deaths since the pandemic broke out is 1,315. In the last 24 hours 7 people have died in Alicante, 5 in Valencia and 1 a Castellón.
The number of PCR and rapid tests carried out since the start of the pandemic is now more than 187,000. The consellera has highlighted that in the last 23 hours more than 6,000 PCR tests and 9,000 rapid tests have been carried out.
On care homes, there are currently 67 nursing homes with positive cases, six fewer than yesterday: “We have ended outbreaks in 57% of the nursing homes that registered a case,” said the minister, who also detailed the measures that the Community has presented to the Ministry to request to move to the next phase.
