The mayors of the tourist municipalities governed by the PSPV-PSOE will not attend the events organised by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana in Fitur, in which Carlos Mazón is expected to take part.
Faced with the decision of the Tourism Conselleria to remove the stands of the individual municipalities, a measure that would usually show their visibility and which, they say, hinders the promotion of tourist destinations, the socialist mayors have announced that they will not attend any of the institutional events in which Carlos Mazón is expected to participate.
The decision not to attend the main Valencian Community event, scheduled for Thursday 23, was also taken by the local representatives of the tourist municipalities governed by the PSPV-PSOE and which have been affected by the measure.
A spokesman for the mayors stated that individual stands in Fitur are not only a promotional tool, but a strategic investment that, drives their local economy and strengthens their position in a highly competitive market.
Carlos Mazón’s performance since the day of the Valencian floods has also prompted the socialist formation not to participate in this event, nor the planned event at the Valencian Community stand.
They also consider that Carlos Mazón should have resigned after what happened in the DANA floods because of his “lamentable behaviour” in the decisive hours of October 29. He shouldn’t be our president anymore, they added.
