The A-30 motorway has suffered on Friday morning in its passage through Molina de Segura, more intense than usual traffic jams. The cause was not the high density of traffic at rush hour, but rather that a woman travelling in a vehicle wo went into labour, according to sources from the 112 Emergency Coordination Centre.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and took the mother to hospital, but the traffic jam stretched up to seven kilometres and caused a complete collapse on the A-30 in the direction of Murcia.
According to the General Directorate of Traffic, the traffic jams occurred from 8.15 am to around 10 am.
The jam extended from kilometre 124 to 131. That is, from the exit towards Lorquí until after the last exit towards Molina de Segura and its residential areas.
