The Councillor for Festivities, Rocío Ortuño, has announced that next Thursday 12th December at 6pm, the Christmas lights switch-on will take place in Orihuela Costa.
The Councillor said ‘we continue with our calendar of events to welcome Christmas and we will celebrate an event at which we will also have music as a backdrop to the switching on of the lights in Orihuela Costa’.
The event will take place in front of the Orihuela Costa Town Hall, where the lights will be switched on, and then the Nativity Scene will be unveiled inside the municipal offices, and which will feature the staging of the biblical scenes: birth, adoration of the Kings and annunciation of the shepherds.
Rocío Ortuño has invited ‘all the residents of our coast to share with us this special moment to kick off the Christmas events we have planned in Orihuela Costa’, adding that among the additional activities this year is the Father Christmas Village, which for the first time will be installed on the Orihuela Costa.
