The Gran Alacant International Library is a true driver of integration in a multicultural neighbourhood where citizens from numerous countries on several continents live together. It is now launching its initial offer of courses for the 2024-25 season, which begins with three classics: Spanish for foreigners, English and painting.

Registration for Spanish classes for foreigners over 16 years old opens on September 9. Registration for English and painting begins on September 12, with various levels for young people and adults.

The Spanish course for foreigners is offered to those over 16 years of age in four levels: beginners, intermediate 1 and 2, and advanced. The registration fee is 135 euro, including registration and materials, except books, with a reduced fee for unemployed people of 105 euro.

The English course is divided into two categories: the ESO course for young students in two age groups, and another for adults with basic A1, elementary A2, intermediate B1 and advanced B2 levels. The youth course costs 82 euro and the adult course 135 euro, while the unemployed will cost 105 euro.

Since places are limited, access to all levels will be made by lottery for all newly enrolled students, giving preference to those registered. There will be a pre-registration period from 12 to 20 September.

Finally, the painting course will be held in the municipal hall of the Santara Resort, with two groups for adults and children aged 5 and over. The cost of the children’s course is 48 euro, including registration and materials, and the adult course is 85 euro, 70 euro for the reduced rate. As with the English course, places are limited and access will be made by drawing lots, giving preference to those registered. The pre-registration period will be from 12 to 20 September.
