The Department of Employment Development at the Orihuela Town Hall has introduced new training courses focused on renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and big data, as part of its annual program aimed at both unemployed individuals and residents seeking professional development.

Víctor Valverde, Councillor for Employment Development, highlighted that these free online courses are available to municipal employees as well as the general public through the town’s training platform:

“These courses meet the growing demand from users of our Local Development Agency,” said Valverde. “They offer valuable tools for job seekers, those looking to change careers, or anyone aiming to improve their current employment situation.”

In 2024, the platform received over 1,000 course applications, and Valverde hopes participation will grow even further in 2025:

“Training must continue to be one of the foundations of our society.”

In addition to the new offerings, the platform also provides courses in areas such as:

  • Graphic Design & Internet
  • Marketing & Sales
  • Business Administration & Finance
  • Office Software
  • Tourism & Languages
  • Culture, Sports & Leisure
  • Agriculture, Healthcare, and Waste Management
