San Javier will once again celebrate its deep aviation roots with the latest edition of the Aire Festival. Mayor José Miguel Luengo unveiled Aire 25 at an event held at the General Air Academy (AGA), emphasizing the festival’s international prestige and its draw for aviation enthusiasts.

Scheduled for the weekend of June 14-15, the festival will kick off on Saturday with an open day, followed by a spectacular air show on Sunday.

The event will feature some of Europe’s finest aerobatic teams, including the Red Arrows (RAF), France’s Patrouille de France, and Italy’s Frecce Tricolori.

They will be joined by the Patrouille Suisse, AV-8B Harrier Plus, Eurofighter Solo, F-18 Solo, and Spain’s own Patrulla Águila, along with the Spanish Army’s PAPEA parachute team and ASPA helicopter squad.

Organized by the Spanish Air Force, Aire 25 commemorates the 40th anniversary of Patrulla Águila, which has built a global reputation since its first flight at the San Javier Air Base on July 4, 1985.

Mayor Luengo underscored the festival’s significance, stating it will further establish San Javier as a true City of the Air. The City Council is already coordinating with the Air Force to ensure security, infrastructure, and access to beach viewing areas, promising an unforgettable aviation showcase.
