Murcia, March 27, 2025 – The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia has located and arrested a fugitive in Campos del Río, who was wanted under a judicial search and arrest warrant issued by a court.
The operation began when Public Security Prevention officers were patrolling the town of Campos del Río and noticed a man whose behaviour aroused suspicion.
When attempting to identify him, officers discovered that he carried no identification documents, prompting them to initiate further checks to verify his identity and rule out any irregularities.
Shortly after, the Guardia Civil successfully identified the individual and confirmed that he was subject to an active judicial warrant issued by a court in Albacete, requiring his search, arrest, and court appearance due to pending legal matters. He was immediately taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
Further investigations revealed that the detainee, who is believed to have deliberately avoided carrying identification to evade detection, has an extensive criminal record, including offenses against individuals and property committed across multiple provinces in the eastern region of Spain.
