Charo Esquiva secured a remarkable victory at the J300 ITF Junior tournament held at Juan Carlos Ferrero’s academy in Villena at the weekend.
In the final, she defeated Latvian player Beatrise Zeltina with a score of 7-5, 6-3. Additionally, her semifinal run in doubles alongside England’s Flora Johnson earned her enough ranking points to reach approximately No. 30 in the ITF Junior world rankings.
With this achievement, Esquiva is now virtually qualified for the Junior Grand Slam main draws at Roland Garros and Wimbledon for the third consecutive year.
