C.D. Mojácar’s Alevín ‘A’ team has achieved an outstanding runner-up position in the 12th edition of the COVAP Cup, held this February in Huércal de Almería. After an excellent run in the tournament, the Mojácar team reached the grand final, where they fell to Poli Aguadulce in an exciting match.

The tournament, in which 16 teams from all over the region took part, has been a great experience for the young players, who showed talent, commitment and sporting spirit in every match. The Mojácar club congratulated the players for their commitment and great performance in this competition, as well as over the course of the season.

This tournament is not only an opportunity to compete at the highest level, but also to learn about fair play, teambuilding and the importance of physical activity.

C.D. Mojácar reaffirms its commitment to the sporting education of its players and its backing for football based on values and teamwork. This runner-up title is a reflection of the effort and dedication of the club’s young talents, who will continue to prepare for future competitions with the same enthusiasm and dedication.

The Mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García Cerdá, congratulated the team for their outstanding performance: “It is a source of pride for our locality to see these young athletes representing Mojácar with such effort and commitment. Their performance in the COVAP Cup demonstrates the great work that is being done in our municipality’s grassroots sport. The Local Council will continue supporting the sporting development of our young people, because we believe in sport as a key tool for training in values and healthy living”.
