On Tuesday, Agustina Rodríguez, Councilor for Social Welfare, presented a series of training sessions titled “Theater as a Tool to Foster a Culture of Peace.” The sessions will take place throughout February at the María Moliner Library and aim to address the growing concern over violence among minors, particularly incidents motivated by hate.
The sessions are designed for professionals working with children and adolescents, including teachers, social workers, youth activity coordinators, and psychologists.
All sessions will be led by educator and school mediator María Ortuño on February 2, 11, 18, and 25, in two time slots: 4:00–5:30 PM and 6:00–7:30 PM.
“These sessions use theatrical techniques to help professionals explore and address conflicts, promote respect and diversity, and support minors in expressing and managing their emotions constructively,” explained Agustina Rodríguez.
The Councilor for Social Welfare has invited all interested parties to join this initiative, which aims to equip professionals with practical tools and contribute to creating a safer environment for young people.
