The Ministry of Justice and Public Administration has finalized extensive energy efficiency improvements at the Torrevieja courthouse, investing a total of €1,119,986.
The upgrades, carried out at the courthouse building on Calle Patricio Zammit (numbers 50 and 52), included a complete overhaul of air conditioning, air renewal, and lighting systems. These changes aim to significantly reduce CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and electricity costs, ensuring the building meets modern energy performance standards.
As part of the project, lighting costs are expected to drop by 65% due to the installation of energy-efficient systems.
New Facilities
The replacement of the air conditioning and air renewal systems has enhanced comfort and efficiency within the courthouse. This aspect of the project accounted for €980,468 of the total investment.
The lighting improvements, valued at €241,745, included the replacement of traditional fluorescent fixtures with energy-efficient LED luminaires. Many of these lights are equipped with the DALI system, which adjusts artificial lighting based on natural light levels.
