On Sunday evening, the 25th Torrevieja Sports Gala took place at the International Auditorium, celebrating the achievements of athletes during the 2023/2024 season.
The event recognized outstanding performances across 15 categories, honouring athletes, clubs, and contributors to the vibrant sports community of Torrevieja.
For the third consecutive year, awards were presented for Best Male and Female Athletes with Functional Diversity, alongside special and honorary mentions. A total of 120 athletes and 12 teams were nominated, with 3 honorary mentions and 5 special mentions awarded.
The gala was attended by Torrevieja’s mayor, Eduardo Dolón, the Councilor for Sports, Diana Box, and numerous members of the municipal council.
The Department of Sports emphasized that the event serves as an occasion to celebrate the dedication and perseverance of athletes, regardless of their results, as well as the clubs, organizations, and individuals who support local sports.
