Marina Sáez, the Councilor for Public Safety in the Pilar de la Horadada Council, has explained that for Christmas, there will be a “reinforcement of police presence in the commercial areas of the municipality to regulate traffic and maintain public order.”
The Local Police have now presented the “Christmas Reinforcement Plan 2024” which allows them to increase their presence in the commercial areas of Pilar de la Horadada where there is a higher concentration of people.
The increased surveillance service carried out by the Local Police in commercial areas will be with uniformed patrols, usually on foot, who will patrol areas with a higher concentration of establishments with the intention of preventing theft, controlling street vending, detecting counterfeit bills, and, in general, preventing any type of criminal activity on public roads, without neglecting traffic regulation to avoid traffic jams due to improper parking, optimizing the performance of public roads, and maintaining the flow of vehicular traffic.
The purpose of the additional presence is to create a safer and more enjoyable shopping experience for everyone during the holiday season.
