The animal rescue association will hold a new edition of this charity event at its centre in San Bartolomé on Sunday 22 December to raise funds and promote adoption.

The animal rescue association Asoka Orihuela, the charity in charge of managing the animal protection centre in the town, is organising a new edition of the event ‘Charity Walks’. An activity with the aim of making one of our dogs happy while enjoying a pleasant walk in the surroundings of the shelter with a route adapted to all publics, in exchange of a 6 euro donation.

The objective is to raise awareness about animal abuse and promote the adoption for shelter dogs in the municipality, as well as to collect donations, during the festive season.

This will take place on Sunday 22nd December at the shelter’s facilities, located in Camino Lo Arques s/n in San Bartolomé, in two shifts, at 10.15am and 11.15am. In addition, the activity will also happen on the day of the Christmas Lottery draw, a day on which we hope that one of our furry friends may find the best of luck and win ‘El Gordo’, finding the love of a warm and forever home.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a Christmas atmosphere, as we will also have an arts and craft market, as well as other Christmas surprises. The event will also provide a collection point for donations and supplies needed for the daily running of the centre, such as cleaning products, blankets, towels, cat litter, wet dog and cat food, as well as a the place to buy the charity calendar 2025 of the organisation, at a price of 6 euros.
