This year, Christmas in Mojácar will be more special than ever thanks to an innovative proposal that brings together tradition, technology and creativity. Mojácar Council, in collaboration with Punto Vuela Mojácar and its promoter Miguel García Campoy, has launched a unique project: a repertoire of themed Christmas carols created with artificial intelligence to transform the streets of the municipality into a magical Christmas setting.
The initiative, promoted by the Tourism department and the Punto Vuela New Technologies centre, has resulted in a digital long play with titles that evoke the spirit and beauty of Mojácar: “Cálida Navidad” (Warm Christmas), “La estrella errante” (The wandering star), “Sentimiento de Navidad” (Christmas Sentiment), “El pueblo más bonito” (The prettiest village) and the main single “Mojácar, Luz de la Navidad” (Mojácar, Light of Christmas).
These carols will be played throughout the village’s streets and squares, enveloping residents and visitors in a unique experience that combines the warmth of Christmas with the incomparable essence of Mojácar.
The Mayor of Mojácar, Francisco García, underlines the special nature of this initiative: “In Mojácar we always strive to create experiences that make our village a unique place, especially at such significant times as Christmas.
These carols not only celebrate the festive season, but they reflect the beauty and hospitality of Mojácar, inviting everyone to experience the magic of Christmas in a completely new way. We want those who visit us during these festivities to feel part of something special, and what better way to do that than through music.”
Miguel García Campoy, Punto Vuela Mojácar motivator, explains how technology has been a key partner in this project: “We have used advanced artificial intelligence tools to compose and bring these Christmas carols to life. Each song has been created thinking about communicating both the Christmas spirit and the essence of Mojácar, integrating our traditions with the possibilities which technology offers us. It is exciting to see how innovation can enrich our culture and make it more accessible to everyone.”
The Council has designed this musical experience as part of a Christmas programme that seeks to highlight Mojácar as a unique destination to experience the festivities.
As well as listening to the Christmas carols as they go around the streets of the municipality, visitors will be able to enjoy them from anywhere through the Council’s official social media, sharing the Christmas essence of Mojácar with friends and family.
Christmas in Mojácar will include a wide offer of activities that complement this musical atmosphere: Christmas markets, magical decorations, shows for the whole family and cultural events that will make every corner of the municipality breathe festive spirit
