The ‘International Day of Disability’ was celebrated in Pilar de la Horadada with the reading of a manifesto by the mayor José María Pérez and representatives of different groups, the activity ‘The tree of ability’ and information tables with the participation of various local associations.
The event was attended by several councillors, the RafaPuede Foundation, the Day Centre and CDIAT, as well as numerous members of the public in support of the cause.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities aims to remember that the struggle for the rights of persons with disabilities is an ongoing task trying to create a fairer, accessible and inclusive society where we all have the same opportunities reaffirming the commitment to equality, inclusion and dignity of all people, regardless of their physical, mental or sensory conditions.
