Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport is set to expand its flight routes, introducing direct flights to Athens starting March 2025, with ticket prices from 25 euros. This expansion, part of the airport’s ongoing development, will offer direct access to more previously unavailable destinations from the 2025 summer season.

Ryanair and Jet2 will also expand their routes in spring 2025 to accommodate peak tourist months. New connections include flights to London Luton, two destinations in Austria, and one in Poland, increasing both the number of destinations and flight frequencies at the airport.

New Routes for Summer 2025:

From 31 March 2025, EasyJet will operate two weekly flights to Athens (Mondays and Thursdays) from its El Altet base, adding to its 24 routes at Alicante-Elche Airport.

Ryanair will launch new routes to Linz and Salzburg (Austria) and Bydgoszcz (Poland) on 31 March 2025, with two weekly flights each. These additions bring Ryanair’s total routes at the airport to 92.

Jet2 will also start flights to London Luton on 3 April 2025 with two weekly flights (Thursdays and Sundays), increasing to four weekly flights from 1 July 2025. This new route joins Jet2’s other UK destinations from Alicante-Elche Airport, totaling 13.

This expansion marks a significant growth in Alicante-Elche Airport’s capabilities, connecting the Costa Blanca to a broader array of European destinations.
