The victim, who was returning home with his wife, was attacked by an unknown assailant who shot him in the knee and side. The incident took place on Monday night at around 8:30 PM on Calle Alférez Moreno.

Emergency services, including the Civil Guard and paramedics, responded to the scene. The injured man was treated at the scene before being transported to Los Arcos hospital for urgent medical attention.

The Civil Guard is investigating the incident and is seeking witnesses and reviewing security camera footage to identify the attacker. They are also investigating a vehicle found burned in an underground tunnel on the AP-7 motorway, which may be linked to the shooting.

Authorities are appealing for any information that could aid in the investigation and the arrest of the suspect.
