As the curtain rises on this year’s vibrant production of the beloved pantomime “Dick Whittington,” audiences will be captivated not only by the enchanting tale of adventure and ambition but also by the intricate relationships that breathe life into the story. Central to this timeless narrative are the characters of Dick (played by Dianne Scott) , Alice (played by Sally Epsom), and Puss (played by Jackie Feeney), whose bonds drive the heart warming and comedic moments throughout the performance.

Dick Whittington is a young dreamer who travels to London in search of fortune and a better life. His journey is marked by determination and a touch of naïveté, but it is his friendship with Puss, a clever and resourceful cat, that transforms his fortunes. Puss is not just a pet; he is an essential partner in Dick’s adventures, showcasing loyalty, wit, and bravery. Together, they navigate the bustling streets of London, facing challenges and outsmarting villains in pursuit of their dreams.

At the centre of this charming trio is Alice, the spirited daughter of Alderman Fitzwarren. Alice embodies kindness and courage, providing a romantic interest for Dick and serving as a beacon of hope in his quest. Her unwavering support and belief in Dick’s potential inspire him to rise above adversity. The blossoming relationship between Dick and Alice adds a delightful layer of romance and optimism to the story, demonstrating that love and friendship can conquer all obstacles.

The pantomime will be showing at the Cardenal Belluga Theatre, San Fulgencio on Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of December.
