ADAPT Detectorists asked to find a lost wedding ring in La Zenia.

A holidaying family from Belgium were enjoying a relaxing day on the beach and playing on the sea. When they got out to dry themselves the man discovered he had lost his wedding ring. Fortunately, a member of the ADAPT club was detecting on the sand close by and he was approached by the distraught man asking if he could help find the ring.

Unfortunately, the detectorist in question wasn’t using a waterproof detector but he arranged for the club to attend last Friday as part of their FREE SEARCH & RECOVERY SERVICE.

Unfortunately, when the team got to La Zenia beach, the sea was very rough with large waves and strong currents but eventually their perseverance paid off and the ring was found.

On handing it back the owner was overcome with emotion and thanked the team, all ten of them, for their endeavours, especially as they were all pounded by the waves and completely soaked.

Just another day in the office for the ADAPT metal detecting club.

The club promotes the hobby of responsible metal detecting on the sand and in the sea.
