A fire in a single-family home at Avenida del Pino 112, in Pilar de la Horadada, was brought under control in the early hours of Monday morning by the Provincial Fire Brigade of Alicante. There were no victims or injuries.
The warning was given at 04.26 hours, with the fire completely extinguished by 05.51 hours.
When the fire teams arrived, the inhabitants had already left the building. Although the fire generated a thick cloud of smoke, the firefighters accessed the building via the terrace and began extinguishing work immediately.
The operation involved a command unit and a Heavy Urban Bomb Unit, with a team of six personnel (a sergeant, a corporal and four firefighters) from the Torrevieja fire station.
The firefighting teams were also assisted by Civil Protection personnel.
