CD Thader 5 – 0 UC Carcaixent

By Steve Hibberd

Thader began the day lying 6th in the Community league, having started the new campaign unbeaten after 3 games.  UD Carcaixent, meanwhile, were rock bottom on 1 point, although that point came last week, so at least they were facing Thader on the back of a positive result.

This was a rare ‘early evening’ outing for Thader fans inside Moi Gomez stadium, but in all probability, future home matches will revert to their usual late morning kick offs.

Raul Mora must be pleased at the way his youthful Thader side have shown strong resilience and was certainly hoping for much of the same in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. And it was an energetic start that got Thader quickly out of the blocks, forcing a good save from Perez in the Carcaixent goal as early as the first minute.

The initial pressure continued with Amin going close for the home side moments later and then, while latecomers were still finding their seats, Amin latched onto a loose ball midway into the Carcaixent half, before driving to the edge of the box, from where he hit a strike that had Perez clutching at thin air, to give Thader an early lead and that perfect start.

Thader continued to call the shots with the goal allowing playmaker Lloyd to show off his skills but following Adnans late challenge on Fran the game began to boil over. Lloyd was just inches wide from the resultant 25 yard free kick.

Miguel was the second visitor into the book when he pulled back Tremino who was making haste down the wing before Thader suffered a blow with goalscorer Amin limping off with what appeared to be a hamstring problem.

In a half largely dominated by the home side the visitors were confined to just a single shot from Victor, which Chema turned comfortably around the post.

Well, if the first period had seen Thader in the driving seat, during the second they kicked Carcaixent off the bus, as they extended their winning margin to 5 goals without reply, in a remarkably entertaining second 45.

Again, the visitors were contained to a single effort as Sheriy, Lloyd, Philp and substitute Raul put them to the sword.

Sheriy’s goal came after 70 minutes, a tap in after the industrious Philip had hit the post.

Then we had to wait all of 15 minutes before skipper Lloyd chested in a corner at the near post.

Philip got his just reward on 85 minutes when he rounded keeper Perez and then the same player turned provider for substitute Raul Sanchez who sidefooted home from close range to make it 5.

For Thader this was their best result in recent years, and certainly in the short time they have competed in the LLiga Comunitat FFCV, Grupo Sur.

The win lifts them up into 3rd place, just above local rivals SC Torrevieja on goal difference ,after Torry’s 2-1 win at L’Olleria CF, their goals coming from Perez and Munoz.

Next Sunday Thader revert to their more normal kick off time of 11.30 am at the Moi Gomez Stadium when the opposition is Calpe.
