A luxury car ended up submerged in the water transfer canal in Orihuela Costa. A member of the Cabo Roig and Lomas Residents’ Association has reported the incident. The BMW car is submerged in the canal, in an area located between the municipalities of Orihuela and Pilar de la Horadada.
The Orihuela Local Police have said that it is a vehicle that was used on Wednesday night in an attempted robbery in Lomas de Campoamor. The thieves, during their escape, abandoned the car in the canal that connects the La Pedrera reservoir with Campo de Cartagena.
The Civil Guard is investigating the matter while CHS workers are emptying the affected section of the canal in order to remove the car as soon as possible.
