The Consell has authorised the contracting of surveillance and security services for health centres under the Ministry of Health. The contract aims to protect people, property, and equipment in these centres and ensure necessary personnel and means for interventions in dangerous situations.

The contract is for two years with a possibility of extension for another two years, and its estimated value is €182.8 million. It covers private security and surveillance, facility maintenance, technical means, alarm centre connection, and key custody.

The tendering file is divided into 22 lots for different health departments. The Ministry of Health has assumed management of health centres previously under concessions, including Manises, Dénia, and Torrevieja.

The Comprehensive Plan for the Prevention of Assaults on Personnel in Health Centres has been considered, and its jeopardy map has helped improve and prioritise actions based on risk.
