The National Police arrested a 33-year-old man of Moroccan nationality, who was hiding in Dolores. He was subject to an international arrest warrant for extradition, for crimes of participation in a Criminal Organisation and Illegal Trafficking of Clandestine Immigration.
Officers from a specialist team in Alicante learned that a man who was wanted by the Moroccan authorities could be living in the Vega Baja and after establishing a search operation, they managed to locate him in an industrial estate in La Marina.
The agents arrested him and reported the arrest to the Judicial Authority of the district where he was located, in this case, the Courts of Orihuela.
The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Alicante Court of Instruction on duty, from where the proceedings ordered by the Central Court of Instruction of the National Court competent in the case will continue.
