The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, was in Elche on Sunday for the Palm Sunday celebration where the head of the Consell, joined the mayor, Pablo Ruz, as the pair attended the traditional procession of white palms and the Eucharist that marks the beginning of Holy Week.
Mazón was able to highlight the unique procession that is celebrated on Easter Sunday with his presence giving “a boost to one of the great Holy Weeks that in Spain, which is that of Elche.”
