Valencia Environmental agents attended the scene at the Rio Algar at Altea lagoon where they were alerted to fish that were dying and stressed, due to lack of oxygen.
Bass and mullet were saved and placed in the sea, with freshwater species carp, barbel and eels transported to the reservoir at Guadalest and released.
