- L’Homme Presse romps to 21 lengths win in Virgin Bet Grade 1

Venetia Williams trained L’Homme Presse tipped by fromthehorsesmouth.info under Charlie Deutsch won the G1 Virgin Bet Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase at Sandown on Saturday by 21 lengths.
Jubilant jockey Deutsch punched the air in passing the winning post, ahead of Mister Coffey and Pic D’Orhy.
“It was a lot easier than I was expecting – I thought we’d have a bit of a race on – but this lad is very classy,” said Deutsch.
“He really set me alight over the Railways at a time when I could have just been going nice and steady, but this lad is a very good jumper.
“I was just very conscious I didn’t get carried out. I’m just delighted for everyone – it means a huge amount to me as well,” added Deutsch.
L’Homme Presse heads for the Cheltenham Festival for the Turners Novices’ Chase in March, with odds clipped to 11-2 from 8-1.
Beauport (5-1) tipped each-way finished second in the Grade 3 Virgin Bet Handicap Hurdle over 2m 7f, 3/4 length behind winner Venetia Williams trained Green Book, under Deutsch.
Tips, Gunsight Ridge (85-40) and Five Star Getaway (9-2) finished third in their respective races (1.15) and (3.30).
