The Alicante Provincial has provided a subsidy for the comprehensive repair of the drinking water network in many of the streets in the Orihuela district of Hurchillo.
Work is to be undertaken in the area of Plaza Nueva and C/Rosario by replacing obsolete pipes and connections that are causing problems for users, with a high frequency of breakages and leaks, seriously affecting the quality of the service provided to users due to regular cuts in supply.
Additionally, the insufficiency of the diameter of the pipes reduces the flows and service pressures available” has indicated Ángel Noguera, Councillor for Infrastructures.
The cost of the works is €59,621, of which 50% is as a result of a subsidy by the Provincial Council of Alicante within the “Plan + Water 2021”.
