The Tourism office in Pilar de la Horadada has been awarded second prize by the jury of the 2019 Tourist Innovation Awards for their leisure project ‘Children, the best hosts of Pilar de la Horadada’ a scheme that provides education in local children’s and primary schools in order to raise awareness about tourism hospitality and the concept of tourism as a sustainable development activity.
The general director of Turisme, Herick Campos presented the prize to staff from the Pilar de la Horadada office at the Tourist Info Conference that ended recently in Castellón.
The Award, which is celebrating its third edition, aims to promote creativity and innovation in the promotion of tourism amongst visitors to the Valencian Community.
The mayor of Pilar de la Horadada, José María Perez, is shown in the photograph congratulating staff from the tourism office, Menchu, Pilar, Sonia, Reme and Raúl for their efforts as he encouraged them to continue creating such projects, which he said “benefits all the residents of our town as well as it’s many businesss.”
