Lidl is set to reopen its Torrevieja store on Thursday, after the shop closed in September for refurbishment, was raised to the ground, and is now a brand new building costing in the region of 3 million euro.
The new store has also created an additional 9 jobs and is part of a major investment strategy in the Valencia region.
Another new store at Burjassot opens on the same day, that one costing 5 million euro, but both investments are dwarfed by the 55 million being spent on a new logistics centre in Cheste, a location famous for its motorcycle race, amongst other things.
Lidl has been operating across Valencia for the last 25 years, creating 1,200 jobs and 70 stores.
