Orihuela council’s Department of Infrastructure, has approved the budget for the remodeling of the seafront of Cabo Roig which has been set at 500,000 euros. The announcement was made by the councillor Infrastructure, Juan Ignacio López-Bas.
Improvement works will be carried out along the entire stretch of seafront promenade that runs from Cabo Roig (La Caleta) beat, two kilometres to Cala Capitán.
The works to be tendered will include the reconstruction of a retaining wall in which ecological lights with low light pollution will be installed, the installation of a wooden railing along the entire length of the promenade, the establishment of the five viewing areas, the repair of the deteriorated flooring and the construction of a gutter that prevents rockfalls from falling onto the promenade, although no indication of how this will be provided was given
The work will last for three months and subject to the approval of tenders and without and further delays, it is possible that the work will be completed by the summer.
